The true-crime genre refers to non-fiction publications in which the author examines a crime and details the actions of people associated with and affected by real-life criminal events. The publication of this genre for entertainment purposes typically takes the form of TV shows or films. This is different with the publication for educational or journalistic purposes (e.g. documentaries, etc.).

Politicization is defined as the attempt to make something or someone political, or more involved in or conscious of political matter. For example, the discussion surrounding China's human rights abuses leading up to the Olympics Games Beijing 2022, etc.

For the purposes of this debate, "financial journalism" refers to individuals or organizations publishing personal financial and investment advice on all types of media (e.g. social media, talk shows, etc.).
It does NOT refer to media reporting on financial trends in the market (e.g. the current inflation rate) or government policy and central banks policy (e.g. increasing interest rates).
